Welcome to the World Of Walter, Winnie and GranMain
Walter is a busy tortoise, he has friends in Parliament who are supporting him in launching new Bell Boats for both Children and Adults to use all over Europe.

Following a long trip along the River Main in Germany in early 2002, MP’s and MEP’s have launched Bell Boats in Birmingham, Stratford On Avon and Oswestry near where the modern Olympics started. Together with Winnie and GranMain, Walter is now helping to bring about change in other walks of life. See our News page for their latest adventures.




Walter is the "Courage" symbol of the MAIN Academy.

Walter is a very special tortoise, he is the energy for thinking, making and doing. He is bright coloured and full of adventure. Walter helps us all to learn how to persevere, never give up, to enjoy taking part and to understand others.

Winnie is the "Leader" symbol of the MAIN Academy.

Winnie keeps the crew together and leads with her Victory ears. Winnie inspires all to take part, she helps and encourages to ensure everyone wins.

GranMain is the "Care" symbol of the MAIN Academy.

GranMain is the wise old Grandfather tortoise who was sent from Asunder to care for the Earth and see that the people of Earth always looked after it and kept the air, the rivers and the seas clean, so that all the animals and plant could grow together in peace. Together with GranEa, he made a very special tortoise and a very special hare.
